About the event

Visitors of all ages will enjoy the Hampshire Pet Fair & Fun Dog Show held at Victoria House in Southampton, next event to be held next year in 2021. Meet lots of animals including llamas, piglets, rabbits and birds that you can interact with and learn about. There will be a falconry and birds of prey display as well as creepy crawlies, snakes and amphibians for the brave. Come along and enter your dog into our fun dog show, being held for dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes. Lots of pet shopping and services, animal rescues and charities, gundog displays as well as children’s amusements and food and refreshments should keep everyone entertained throughout the day.

Hants Events were thrilled to be holding the Pet Fair this year at this prestigious, beautiful venue at Victoria House, Hamble, Southampton. 

A very pleasant surprise awaits you at Victoria House. This historic Grade II listed building is nestled on the edge of The Royal Victoria Country Park in Hamble which boasts beautiful views and extensive grounds.

Victoria House was built in 1866 and remains virtually unchanged to this day.  Nested in a stunning location, you will see wildlife such as deer, countless varieties of birds, beautiful trees and extensive grounds.  The perfect venue for a lovely family day out.

What time is the Pet Fair open & when does is close?

The fair is open from 10:00am and the event closes at 4:00pm. The dog show starts at 11am

How do I apply to attend & exhibit as a seller or charity/rescue?

The Hampshire Pet Fair and Fun Dog Show is a an event that will appeal to visitors of all ages. As well as lots of animal encounters, petting farm, displays and pet dog show, we would like to offer visitors a variety of animal/pet themed stalls and services. It is also nice to offer plenty of food and refreshements aswell as entertainement for all ages. Therefore, we will consider stall applications via the pre-booking form to make sure we offer a good variety. Visitors like to see a variety of stalls, but also appreciate seeing a few of the same type for comparisons. With this in mind, we cannot offer exclusivity to any stallholders, however we also like to keep duplicate stalls to a minimum in order to promote fairness to all businesses. There wil be a choice of indoor and outdoor spaces. ---- Trade/Businesses/Charities/Rescues/Club stand Applications ---- The event is both indoors and outdoors all set within the secure grounds of the venue. There are approximately 40-50 indoor spaces and lots of spaces (depending on sizes) outdoors. For indoor spaces, you have a table (only provided for you if indoors) 6ft length by approx 2-2.5ft in width, plus enough space to sit behind (only 2 people behind each stand allowed). For outdoor spsces, you will beed to provide your own 3x3m gazebo, table and chairs.

If you would like to be part of the event which attracts over 2,000 visitors + then please email hantsevents@yahoo.co.uk to request a stall and give a description and photo of your business or service. Animal charities, rescues and clubs are also welcome to apply at lower concessional costs.

We reserve the right to cancel and refund your booking if you have not followed the correct procedures prior to booking.

What are the costs for exhibiting at The Pet Fair?

The pricing for the Pet Fair & Fun Dog Show 2019 are as follows: Trade and Business Exhibitors

  • Indoor 6ft Space (including table and chairs) - TBC

All stands outdoors must provide their own gazebos, tables, chairs etc. Each stand comes with two admission tickets. Further tickets for stallholders helpers (max 4) can be prebooked for just £TBC. Wristbands must be worn throughout the day. Sponsorships We only have a select few opportunities to sponsor this event at £TBC. Please contact the team to discuss full details.

Do I have to bring my own table & chairs?

We provide a table for indoor spaces and this will be ready & set up in your space on the day! For outdoor spaces, you will need to provide your own 3x3m gazebo, table and chairs. Exhibitors must cover their table with a tablecloth (depending on which size table booked) - (Cloth size for a 6ft table is 90' x 132'). We supply at least one or two chairs for each space free of charge, inside only.

What about Parking?

The venue has plenty of parking and you will find plenty of road signs and directions from stewards on the day. There is also disabled parking.

Is there disabled access?

There is very good disabled access to the event with disabled toilets and parking readily available.

Can I cancel my booking?

Cancellations We understand you may need to cancel your bookings for whatever reason. Please advise of of your cancellation via telephone or email in the first instance. Unfortunately we can not transfer bookings so if you have to cancel for any reason, here is our cancellation and refund policy:

  • If you decide to cancel part or all of your booking up to 14 days before the event, a refund can be requested via email to: hantsevents@yahoo.co.uk. There is a £10 administration fee per booking. This covers all and any unrecoverable charges, fees and costs involved.
  • For cancellations made within 14 days commencement of the event, you will receive 50% of the booking refunded.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days or less of the commencement of the event are not entitled to refunds.
  • Bookings are non transferable.
  • Hants Events at our sole discretion may cancel any booking at any given time without giving a reason in such case the Exhibitor’s payment will be refunded in full.
  • Should Hants Events be forced to cancel due to circumstances outside of their control, (extreme weather, acts of god etc.) refunds will be subject to the terms of the cancellation, also the opportunity to transfer the booking to a new event , should the need arise.
Hants Events accept no responsibility for any costs incurred by the Exhibitor for staffing, travel, printing or any other related preparation expenses, if the event does not take place for any reason. It is the Exhibitor’s responsibility to obtain its own Event Cancellation Insurance to cover such situations but we strongly hope this will not be the case.

What time does it close?

The event will finish no earlier than 4:00pm. No packing away is permitted before this time. No vehicles are permitted onto the site before 4:15 or when stewards give clear instruction.

How many stalls will there be?

We will have approximately 70 indoor and outdoor stalls plus exhibiting animals etc,..at the Hampshire Pet Fair. This figure may rise as the event get closer.

How do you advertise the event?

  • A minimum of ten thousand of flyers printed throughout the year and delivered by hand to the local area.
  • Cross-promotion with flyers all our other Hants events.
  • Regular adverts within local magazines and newspapers.
  • Social media sites including sponsored adverts to spread the word to thousands of people around Hampshire and further afield.

How can I pay for exhibiting?

You can pay in either of these ways: 1. In person at any of our other events prior with cash. 2. Right here on the website using debit or credit card. 3. What do I do before I book to exhibit?

Request a charity or trade Stand for Hampshire Pet Fair Send an email requesting which date you wish to attend, your business details including your web site address to hantsevents@yahoo.co.uk . These are not confirmation of a booking with us. We will send an email of confirmation to you once availability has been decided, then you can proceed with booking. We aim to do this as quickly as possible. Hants Events reserve the right to accept or refuse any application for a booking without giving any reason.

Do I need any insurances or certificates to exhibit?

We insist that all business stallholders have their own public liability insurance when attending any event. While we hold our own PLI, this does not cover you or your stall.

How do I get tickets?

You can pay on the door when you arrive by cash or card. Please note, there are no cashpoints onsite.

How much is it to participate in the dog show?

Each class will cost £2 to enter per dog. You can enter and pay on the day, no need to pre-book. Placed 1st-6th
Winner of 1st place in each class will get entered into the best of show for free at the end. All winners 1st to 6th will receive a winning rossette. 1st place also wins a goody bag!

How can I sponsor this event?

Another question were glad you asked! A great way to be involved and also support this event is to take the opportunity of sponsorship. This will be gratefully acknowledged and aids to improving the standard of the Fair and its success. We are only looking for few sponsors, to keep brand awareness exclusive. You will receive a free pitch indoors or outdoors, free inclusion on the website with links & advertisements……. social media inclusion………. company logo & details on advertising………., leaflets & banners……etc. The cost is £tbc

What are the admission costs for visitors & what's included?

The event is open to visitors from 10:00am untill 4:00pm. Free parking all day. Entry Prices for visitors on the day are as follows, cash or card payments accepted. Adult - £TBC Under 12 years - £TBC Under 2's - Free Concessions - £TBC The prices are to enter and visit all areas of the pet fair both inside & outside; and also include at no extra cost interaction with; The mobile Animal farm (Including animals such as Llamas, piglets, lambs, chickens, chicks, rabbits etc.) for free throughout the day The Birds of Prey on display throughout the day & flying or handling displays The Gundog displays & Dog training sessions The Reptile, Amphibian & Exotics Displays Face Painting or Glitter Tattoo Balloon for children (and adults if wanted!) Free Parking The Dog Show is £2 per dog per class to enter. There maybe other optional areas of entertainment that will incur small fees that are not included in your ticket price. Unfortunately, there is always a slim possibility of a display or exhibitor/stand cancelling due to unforeseen circumstances of which are out of our control. Animals welfare will always come first in decisions made. Whilst we are hopeful & confident this won't happen, we will notify you on this website of any changes where possible. We would also add a disclaimer that should any display pull out at the last minute or day, we cannot be held responsible and whilst this would be disappointing, there will still be many other displays, fun and plenty of animals and stands to see. On the day, Hampshire Pet Fair will be giving out a Free Pet Fair Guide/program to visitors. This will be A5 size and will have the following information:

  • Some fun facts for all ages & more

How do I enter the Fun Dog Show?

The Fun Dog Show registration form is available on the day, or you can download it. Just fill this form in and hand it to the registration tent on the day with your entry fee.
