About the event

As it's indoors you can stay warm and dry whilst browsing around. Facilities including toilets and refreshments with tables and chairs available. We hold these several times a year, so spaces get booked up quickly and are extremely well attended with hundreds of  visitors and gaining more interest with each event!

Craft & Gift Fair FAQs

What time can buyers arrive?


Buyers can arrive from 11am and the fair closes at 3pm.




What can you sell?


Only stalls offering crafts, gifts and pertaining to this theme may book. Please send a photograph of what you sell to hantsevents@yahoo.co.uk before the event. We can use this to advertise your attendance on social media. No bric-a-brac or stalls that do not fit in with the theme of the event. Please ring in the first instance to make sure of availability. You have a space of around six foot wide for your table and enough room to sit behind (only 2-3 people behind each stand allowed). If you are interested in a space please only book after you have spoken to us (07841 660177 or 01329 484148) regarding availabilty as we wish to avoid doubling up on certain types of stalls. If you book without checking and someone else has already booked with the same stall type, we may have to cancel your booking and refund you. Of course some stalls with mixed crafts or arts may sell a proportion of similar items, we cannot avoid this. We want to give visitors a variety of items on offer.




How much does it cost to sell?


Sellers

  • It's £25 for a six foot space (bring your own table)
  • L-shaped space to sell is £45
  • Space for hanging rail plus 3ft rail hire is £6.50
  • Hire a 6ft table from us for £5




Do I have to bring my own table?


If you don't have a table to use, you can hire one for the event when you book your space. Please make sure you add this option when you book and your table will be ready set up for you in your space on the day! We supply at least one or two chairs for each space free of charge.




What about Parking?


The Locks Heath Shopping Village offers hundreds of free parking spaces, however please be aware that parking is restricted to 3 hours. If you are selling, you can park outside the front of the building to unload. You will need to provide your registration number in advance of the event whilst booking. This is so you will not get any charges for staying over the 3 hour period. We provide this registration number to the Locks Heath Shopping Village management team in advance of the event so please make sure that the vehicle registration you provide us is the vehicle you will be bringing on the day. There is plenty of disabled parking bays right outside the building. Disabled parking will still need to provide us with registration details. Only one vehicle can be registered for free parking for each event. If you are bringing multiple vehicles, we recommend parking outside the centre to avoid possible parking charges. Sorry, Hants Events has no responsibility for any parking tickets issued due to non-compliance.




Is there disabled access?


There is very good disabled access to the event with disabled toilets and parking readily available.




Can I cancel my booking?


We understand you may need to cancel your bookings for whatever reason. Please advise of of your cancellation via telephone or email in the first instance. Unfortunately we can not transfer bookings so if you have to cancel for any reason, here is our cancellation and refund policy: If you decide to cancel part or all of your booking up to 14 days before the event, a refund can be requested via email to: hantsevents@yahoo.co.uk. There is a £5 administration fee per booking. This covers all and any unrecoverable charges, fees and costs involved. For cancellations made within 14 days commencement of the event, you will receive 50% of the booking refunded. Cancellations made within 7 days or less of the commencement of the event are not entitled to refunds. Bookings are non transferable. Hants Events at our sole discretion may cancel any booking at any given time without giving a reason in such case the Exhibitor’s payment will be refunded in full. Should Hants Events be forced to cancel due to circumstances outside of their control, (extreme weather, acts of god etc.) refunds will be subject to the terms of the cancellation, also the opportunity to transfer the booking to a new event , should the need arise. Hants Events accept no responsibility for any costs incurred by the Exhibitor fore staffing, travel, printing or any other related preparation expenses, if the event does not take place for any reason. It is the Exhibitor’s responsibility to obtain its own Event Cancellation Insurance to cover such situations but we strongly hope this will not be the case.




Can I bring a hanging rail?


You are welcome to bring a hanging rail to sell clothes. Remember your space is 6ft wide and you must be able to fit everything you bring (including your table) in your space safely. So if your table is 6 foot wide, you will need to book extra space for your rail! You can book an additional space to bring your own hanging rail, please make sure you add this option when you book.




What time does it close?


The sale will finish no earlier than 3pm. No packing away is permitted before this time.

How many stalls will there be?


We have approximately 40 stalls at each Craft & Gift Fair.




How do you advertise the event?


Glad you ask! We have thousands of flyers printed throughout the year and delivered by hand to the local area. We also cross-promote at all our other events. We have regular adverts within local magazines and newspapers. We use social media to spread the word to thousands of people around Hampshire. We also advertise on various websites that inform the public of events. We are always looking for new ways to expand reputation of all our events and welcome all suggestions.




How can I pay for a space?


You can pay in either of these ways: 1. In person at any of our events with cash. 2. Right here on the website using debit or credit card after emailing to confirm booking. 3. Phone us and we will process your booking via debit or credit card.

Do I need any insurances or certificates?


We recommend that all stallholders have their own public liability insurance when attending any event. While we hold our own PLI, this does not cover you or your stall.




What do I do before I book?


Send an email requesting which date you wish to attend, your business details including your web site address to hantsevents@yahoo.co.uk . These are not confirmation of a booking with us. We will send an email of confirmation to you once availability has been decided, then you can proceed with booking. We aim to do this as quickly as possible. Hants Events reserve the right to accept or refuse any application for a booking without giving any reason. Of course some stalls with mixed crafts or arts may sell a proportion of similar items, we cannot avoid this. We want to give visitors a variety of items on offer.




I want to sell but your fully booked! Can I join a waiting list?


Oh no, we're booked! These fairs are very popular and get booked up quickly but don't worry - just join our wait list and we'll give you a call when a space becomes available.

If you are interested in being part of the Hampshire Craft & Gift Fair, please only book when you have completed the pre-booking form on this page and then received confirmation that you can go ahead and book your space.  Please allow a few days for a reply.
